The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 2015 honours an approach to developing antiparasitic drugs based on natural substances found in bacteria and plants in the 1970s. As part of its public service mission, INRA has made significant contributions over the past thirty years alongside its research partners and the pharmaceutical industry to guide the responsible use of these medicines.

AQUAEXCEL2020, a research infrastructure project funded under the EU’s Horizon 2020 programme and coordinated by the French National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA), has kicked off this month with the aim to further support the sustainable growth of the European aquaculture sector.

Maria Razzauti, a post-doctoral researcher at INRA Montpellier, received a French national L'Oréal-UNESCO fellowship of 20,000 euros within the framework of the For Women in Science programme. The prestigious award will allow her to pursue research on infectious diseases transmitted to humans by undomesticated animals.
